Realize potential, achieve personal
Our Evolution
Publishers Clearing House (PCH), founded in 1953 by Harold and LuEsther T. Mertz, began by selling magazine subscriptions through the mail. Fueled by TV advertising and huge sweepstakes prize awards, PCH soon came to be known for the roving prize patrol van and surprise delivery of giant checks. But that is only the beginning of our story….
Over time, the company diversified its product lines and channels of distribution to serve its customers who embraced online shopping, entertainment and social media.
Our Evolution
Under the leadership of CEO Andy Goldberg, PCH has embarked on a mission to expand the appeal of our brand by building a portfolio of synergistic digital businesses with content designed to engage a broader demographic. An emerging media powerhouse, PCH now includes a series of successful ventures offering curated multi-channel shopping and free-to-play, chance to win digital entertainment sites across a network of web and app-based entertainment properties. With a loyal and rapidly expanding customer base, PCH is uniquely positioned to successfully introduce new products and services to our community to efficiently meet their performance objectives.
What has never changed? A commitment to giving back that was established early on by our founders. In addition to awarding life changing prizes on a daily basis, over 40 percent of PCH's profit goes to trusts for the benefit of charities.
Commitment to giving back
At PCH, we strongly encourage our employees to engage in community affairs and volunteer time to helping others in need. This year, the helping hands of PCHers reached out to support 18 community organizations.

Intern Program
PCH partners with colleges and students to create a positive and enriching experience for both staff and interns. Our managers and supervisors provide hands-on training to bridge classroom knowledge with business experiences. Our paid interns are valued team members that provide support and add value to PCH.

Tuition Assistance Program
PCH covers 100% of the costs for tuition, course fees and most required materials up to $5,250 per year. Assistance is provided for high school equivalency, approved graduate or undergraduate matriculated programs and job-related certificate programs and mini-courses.

PCH U
We believe in our employees and encourage everyone to reach their full potential. PCH U was established as an interactive educational community where PCHers are invited to enhance their professional and technical skills to remain competitive and rise up the ranks within the organization.
